The Priory Group has announced that it has signed the Armed Forces Covenant, demonstrating its commitment to supporting veterans, reservists and their families currently in employment - and to encourage those who serve, or have served, to join the Priory Group team.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a voluntary pledge that aims to ensure all members of the Armed Forces community, past or present, are treated with respect and fairness by the communities, businesses, and people they courageously volunteered to serve. Discounted placements available to the Armed Forces community
Following the signing of the covenant, Priory Education and Children’s Services are delighted to offer discounted rates on privately funded education and care placements for children of the Armed Forces community. The discount is available for both day and residential services.
Priory Education and Children’s Services is a leading provider of education and residential care services across the UK, specialising in supporting children and young people with a range of needs. These include an autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Our aim is to make a real and lasting difference to every child and young person that we support.
The suggestion that the Priory Group sign the covenant also initially came from Louise Watts, who is the Director of Human Resources for Priory Education and Children’s Services and Central Services. She explained that she is passionate about the project as “a forces daughter and wife of a retired Army Major”. That background meant she was keen to support the Armed Forces community and also utilise the “transferable skills of our veterans”.
