Troup House School adopts a multidisciplinary approach to education that is individualised to take account of the different learning needs of each young person. The broad curriculum is firmly based on the Curriculum for Excellence and ensures that all young people are equipped with the core skills of literacy, numeracy and information communication technology.
The young people supported here receive individual education plans and are motivated to re-engage with learning through cross-curricular themes, which are often practical and experiential. Our pupils have their own learning intentions and success criteria and meet with tutors and key staff to set their own targets in education. We benchmark and measure outcomes related to attainment, attendance and engagement, and our young people work towards Super Achiever Awards that we celebrate at the end of each term.
