The education unit provides full time education to young people aged 12-18 years, working at Functional Skills levels, KS3, KS4 and KS5 and also provides a NEET/disengaged provision.
The main aim of the education unit is to provide a safe and secure learning environment in which individuals are supported to achieve their full potential, by providing them with diverse learning opportunities, which encourages young people to develop educational, social and practical skills. The CAMHS unit works closely with young people, parents/carers and professionals to establish successful partnerships.
The education unit supports the young people with the work supplied by their home school or college to ensure that they maintain their education during their inpatient stay, thus enabling the facilitation of a successful re-integration back into education on discharge.
NEET and disengaged young people are provided with projects and SOW with resources targeted to their key stage, and referrals are made for a re-integration back into education, training or employment on discharge.
