At Sketchley School and Forest House, we offer a broad and balanced curriculum including life skills, as well as providing careers advice and work experience in both the school and the local community. We also work closely with families, colleges and all other services to prepare the young people for adulthood.
All transitions are planned individually for each young person in our care and appropriate placements are found at post-16. The transitions are also managed to ensure successive provision again at the age of 18, looking at post-19 opportunities which include further education and paid work.
As well as offering primary and secondary specialist education, we are also currently developing a post-16 provision working closely with local colleges. This will allow us to provide a clear pathway through the service.
