They are not just therapists who deliver clinical sessions behind closed doors, but are very much involved in the all areas of the college. The therapy team here at Priory College Swindon works with:

  • Students
    • Our therapy team work directly with young people to provide a safe space in which they are able to explore a range of issues that are either important or troubling for them
  • The broader education and care staff
    • By drawing on their expertise, our therapy team informs the day-to-day practice of other staff and helps them deal with particular issues which might be occurring with a student
  • External agencies
    • The therapy team liaise with external professionals (e.g. CAMHS, psychiatrist) to ensure a quality and continuity of care
  • Parents and families
    • Our therapy team often work with students’ families on a case by case basis to ensure the important work we are doing at the college is mirrored and/or supporting in some way by the home setting
