Mark College is a residential special school with on-site boarding facilities. We have a total of three separate residential houses, providing accommodation for 10 to 19 year olds for up to 36 weeks per year. One of our homes is currently for girls only. All residential pupils are registered with a local GP and our in-house student health officer is on hand to help with any minor health issues.
A commitment to open communication
Mark College ensures that young people have lots of opportunities to share any views and concerns with staff so that they can be involved in the care that they receive. Each of our boarding houses holds regular meetings where students can give feedback and every student has their own key worker who they can talk to and address any concerns.
Yet it’s not just communication between students and the school which is important. Mark College is committed to maintaining close contact between the homes and parents, and also ensure there is a daily handover between education and care staff for all residential pupils.
