Welcome to our Devon and Cornwall Services

Welcome to our specialist education and care services in Devon and Cornwall. Through our network of schools and associated children’s homes, we combine experience with expertise to support children and young people aged 7-19 years old with a range of needs. This includes an autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, learning difficulties and associated complex needs.

Equipping young people with a brighter future

Our aim is to make a difference to the lives of the children and young people that we support, working in partnership with families and Local Authorities to achieve the best possible outcomes. We provide high quality education, therapy and care services in safe and nurturing environments, taking full account of national standards and quality indicators.

The children and young people are placed at the heart of everything that we do. They are supported by a highly motivated, reflective and engaged staff team, underpinned by evidence-based practice, recognised strategies and approaches.

A summary of our services

  • 2 specialist schools and 4 associated children’s homes situated in beautiful Devon and Cornwall locations
  • A tailored, stimulating and engaging curriculum, with individualised learning programmes in small groups

  • Safe, structured and positive therapeutic environments

  • Integrated care, education and therapy to provide consistent support across the services

  • An emphasis on individual achievement and personal development

  • A focus on engagement in a wide range of contexts, including learning outside of the classroom

  • A dedicated wellbeing team prompting good strategies for social and emotional mental health needs

  • Multidisciplinary staff teams, including a Speech and Language Therapist and Occupational Therapist, Trauma Attachment Specialist, Counsellor and SENCO

  • A curriculum that also encourages students to be active, along with social independence, work-related skills and preparation for adulthood. Plus a range of accredited qualifications

  • A wide range of additional leisure facilities

  • On-site careers advice, including work placements and transition planning, as well as good links with local colleges

  • Regular parent, carer and Local Authority communication, including sharing progress and achievement updates
