Overview

Hill Lane

Hill Lane is a children’s home for up to five young people with complex needs and the subsequent impact on behaviour, emotions and social difficulties including presenting issues of self-harm, attachment trauma, frequent absence from home or school. Hill Lane offers:

  • Five bedrooms
  • One ground floor bedroom with unhindered access to a bathroom and communal kitchen, offering a greater degree of independence
  • Two shared bathrooms
  • Two separate toilets (plus a downstairs cloakroom)
  • Two communal lounges (one of which acts as a games room)
  • Dining room
  • Separate kitchen
  • Large rear garden
  • Up to 52 week placements
  • Medium to long term placements

The home is situated on the outskirts of Southampton, within easy reach of the city’s amenities and attractions. Hill Lane also has its own car, offering an alternative to public transport for residents.

Lawn House

Lawn House is a residential home for up to five young people aged 16 to 25 years old who have behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. We care for young people with Learning Disabilities, Attachment Disorder, Asperger syndrome and other associated autistic spectrum disorders as well as young people experiencing troubled family relationships or conduct. Lawn House offers:

  • Five large en-suite bedrooms
  • Communal lounge
  • Dining room
  • Separate kitchen
  • Quiet lounge
  • Games room
  • Large rear garden
  • Up to 52 week placements

The home is situated in the thriving area of Portswood in Southampton, just a short walk from the city centre as well as national rail and bus links. Young people living at Lawn House can be transported to/from Coxlease School by education or care staff or, if appropriate, use independent travel arrangements as part of a like skills pathways programme.

Ewan House

Ewan House is children’s home for up to five young people who have behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. We have worked with children and young people with Learning Disabilities, Attachment Disorder, Asperger syndrome and other associated autistic spectrum disorders as well as young people experiencing difficulties with mental health, troubled family relationships or conduct. Ewan House offers:

  • Five en-suite bedrooms
  • Communal lounge
  • Dining room
  • Separate kitchen
  • Utility area
  • Court yard style garden to the rear
  • Up to 52 week placements

Ewan House is within easy travelling distance of Southampton and is close to beaches, country parks, theme parks, zoos and outdoor activity centres. The home has its own car, offering residents an alternative to public transport. Young people living at Ewan House can be transported to/from their education placement by staff or, if appropriate, use independent travel arrangements as part of a like skills pathways programme.

Paperbag Cottage

Paperbag Cottage is a children’s home for up to four young people who have emotional, social and mental health difficulties, including with learning difficulties, Attention Deficit Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Attachment Disorder and other Autistic Spectrum Disorders. The young people in our care may also experience trouble with their mental health and troubled family relationships or conduct. Whilst the home is registered for mixed gender use, it currently houses only boys. Paperbag Cottage offers:

  • Two single bedrooms
  • Two double en-suite bedrooms
  • One downstairs studio style unit with kitchenette and shower room
  • Large open plan living area
  • Newly fitted kitchen and dining area
  • Communal lounge with sofas and TV
  • Downstairs utility room and cloakroom
  • Substantial garden area
  • Large outside ‘den’ which is used for games, meetings, family visits or as a 1:1 space
  • A large garage where young people can store bikes
  • Up to 52 week placements

Paperbag Cottage is located on the edge of Lymington town, in the New Forest district of Hampshire. The town has a range of leisure amenities including coffee shops, a golf course, library, two swimming pools, a sports centre, skate park, tennis courts and a small cinema/theatre. The home has two cars which can be used to provide transport to residents. The home is within easy travelling distance of Southampton, Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight.

Westover

Westover is a children’s home for up to four young people who have complex needs which may include autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) and complex associated difficulties. We care for children and young people with Learning Disabilities, Attachment Disorder, Asperger Syndrome and other associated autistic spectrum disorders as well as those experiencing difficulties with mental health, troubled family relationships or conduct. Westover offers:

  • Four single bedrooms
  • Two large shared bathrooms
  • A downstairs cloakroom
  • Communal lounge
  • Play room
  • Kitchen/diner area
  • Up to 52 week placements
  • Respite placements for day and residential pupils at Coxlease School

Westover is located in the thriving area of Shirley, in Southampton. The home is just a short walk from Southampton Common as well as the city centre and is well-connected thanks to nearby national bus and rail links.

West View Homes

West View Homes provide care for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. We provide children and young people with genuine warmth and nurturing environment, to support changes to patterns and cycles of harmful behaviours to themselves and potentially others and to give coping strategies/tools to enable them to manage experiences positively and to move forward in their life’s/grow and achieve.

We are also able to provide education for children and young people at the point of admission into Coxlease School, where we support children and young people to attend and meet educational targets, working closely with the school.

We have three homes which have the following facilities:

  • One lounge
  • Kitchen
  • Two homes have 2 bedrooms and one has 3 bedrooms, with en-suite bathrooms
  • A communal bathroom with a bath
  • A staff sleeping in room
  • A staff office
  • Large gardens
The homes are situated in the New Forest and are close to Southampton town Centre and are easily accessible by car to other areas such as places to go Bowling/Swimming, Ice skating and other external activities.
