Services summary

With a dedicated team of staff, we provide every young person with a personalised programme of education, care, work experience, leisure, life skills and training to enable them to live as independently as possible and make their own life choices.

Our services include:

  • Continued and ongoing support with learning and life skills
  • Individually tailored programmes for education, social and personal development
  • Access to work experience opportunities with national employers, as well as volunteer work
  • For complex learners, we offer high levels of support including one-to-one teaching and care
  • An inclusive communication environment that supports learners with their individualised communication systems including spoken words, signing and AAC symbols
  • A personal tutor is assigned to each student who acts as the liaison between home and agencies, dealing with all initial enquires and transition arrangements, supporting students etc
  • Access to structured and informal leisure activities, as well as the opportunity to access the community
  • For some of our learners, sensory and experiential learning activities are needed to ensure that they are engaged in learning. These programmes are planned well in advance to ensure that the right support and resources are in place for when the learner starts the transition into college
  • The college has developed partnerships with local authorities to support learners post-college with day and residential placements, as well as offering respite provision
