A commitment to quality

At Aspris Children’s Services, we are committed to delivering the highest quality care to the children and young people, who are supported by our schools, colleges, children’s homes and fostering services across the UK.

The key priority across our Aspris Care and Aspris Education divisions is to ensure that we operate safe, effective and person-centred services that contribute to our goal of making a real and lasting difference to the lives of every child and young person in our care.

We support our colleagues in delivering the highest standards of quality by facilitating a culture of transparency and openness, promoting evidence-based practice and enabling continuous learning and improvement opportunities. Our dedication to the highest standards is demonstrated by our services being rated above the education sector averages by regulators.

A dedicated Quality Assurance and Improvement Team

A dedicated Quality Assurance and Improvement Team ensures that quality and safety are at the heart of everything that we do across Aspris Care and Aspris Education. This highly experienced team works alongside our education, care and support teams to ensure a relentless focus on quality. Their independence from the operational management of services facilitates a rigorous and robust approach.

The team supports a model of quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement across all of the services. These three elements enable us to deliver a comprehensive total quality management system and ensure that we provide the highest standards of education, care and support to children and young people across the UK.

The work of the Quality Assurance and Improvement Team is informed by intelligence gathered from regulatory reports, internal compliance processes, independent visitors, the feedback of parents, carers, children and young people, and other stakeholders.

Priorities for driving quality across Aspris Children’s Services include:

  • Working collaboratively with our schools and home management teams to ensure safety and quality, maximising performance and creating a culture of evidence-based, person-centred and compassionate care

  • Supporting the delivery of quality improvement plans and objectives for services

  • Reviewing data and intelligence to identify areas for improvement and supporting sites to deliver this

  • Reviewing compliance with regulatory frameworks and national best practice to ensure sites work to and strive to exceed nationally agreed standards

  • Monitoring systems and processes to ensure they are achieving positive outcomes for the children and young people, including adherence to policies and procedures

  • Investing in colleagues with education and training

The Quality Assurance and Improvement Team are supported by the Professional Development, Standards and Service Improvement Team, which provides a strategic approach to quality across the company. Our services are also under constant review by our specialist central professional and compliance teams, external regulators, commissioners and stakeholders.
